OUR STAFF

  • GrimStorm

    // Founder
    • ENLISTEDJAN 2022
    • ON RECORDJAN 2018

    One of Rogue Army's original founders and the one still steering the ship — setting the direction and having the final word when it counts, while mostly just keeping the place as relaxed and drama-free as it was built to be.

  • Max Cahill

    // Community Admin · Developer
    • ENLISTEDMAY 2022
    • ON RECORDMAR 2018

    Wears two hats: the developer behind Ashley and the community's software, and a Community Admin handling day-to-day moderation and member support. If something technical breaks or needs setting up, it lands on his desk.

  • Sgt-Tackleberry

    // COMMUNITY MOD · STREAMER
    • ENLISTEDMAY 2022
    • ON RECORDMAR 2018

    One of Rogue Army's active Community Mods and an authorised streamer — handling everyday moderation off-camera and repping the community on-air. Equal parts keeping the chat civil and giving people something good to tune into.

THE REST OF THE LINE

The dossiers above are the active-duty roster. Behind them stands the rest of the line — the Community Mods who hold channels steady without a spotlight, the Distinguished Service members who earned their colors the long way, the contributors building tooling in the background, and the voice regulars you'll find in a channel any given weekend. No card on this page. Same colors, same crew.

PROTOCOL
// REACHING THE LINE · YOUR CALL HOW

HOW TO HIT US UP

We’re volunteer-run. Most of us answer in hours, not minutes — we have day jobs and the chat does not run our lives. Tickets, DMs, public tags — they all reach the same handful of people. Pick whichever feels right.

// THREE LANES · ALL REACH THE SAME PEOPLE · YOUR CALL
  • FORMAL

    TICKETS

    #open-a-ticket

    Drop into #open-a-ticket in Discord — there’s a button at the top that opens a private thread with the on-call moderator. Use this when something needs a paper trail: bans, appeals, harassment reports, account issues. The log persists, and the public mod-log gets a summary once it’s resolved.

  • DIRECT

    DM US

    @handle

    Slide into the DMs of any operative on the roster above. When you’re signed in, the handles are right there on each card. No paperwork, no thread, just a person. If they’re asleep, someone else is awake.

  • PUBLIC

    TAG IN CHAT

    @operative

    There’s no group role to ping — pick anyone from the roster above and tag them by name in a public channel. Wider visibility than a DM: the question lands where the chat can see it, and a backup operative can pick it up if the first one is asleep. Loud by design.

    What actually is Rogue Army — and is it for me?

    Rogue Army is a casual gaming community built for adult gamers (roughly 25+) who value good company over chasing competitive ranks. We're most active on evenings and weekends across South African, UK and EU timezones, playing co-op titles together at a relaxed, no-pressure pace. If you want a drama-free place to game with people who act like grown-ups, you'll fit right in — the one non-negotiable is zero tolerance for harassment, discrimination or toxic behaviour.

    How do I actually find people to play with?

    Grab your game roles first, then either post a message to round up a squad, or simply jump into a voice channel — here, an open channel is an open invitation. Most sessions come together organically in the evenings, so don't be shy about being the one who starts it. New or a bit quiet? Saying hi in the #general channel is the easiest first step.

    How do I unlock the games and channels I care about?

    Most of the server is opt-in. Head to the role-selection channel and pick the game roles you want — Division, Helldivers II, Sea of Thieves and a dozen more. Each role unlocks that game's channels and its event notifications, and you can grab as many as you like. Changed your mind later? Remove the role the same way you added it.

  • 04FORMAL

    What are the rules — and what vibe am I expected to match?

    The full rules live in the rules channel and on the websiteread them once, it won't take long. The short version: treat people the way you'd want to be treated, keep it mature, and leave the drama at the door. We're a no-pressure community, so nobody will push you to play, grind or perform. Respectful, inclusive communication is the baseline everyone here agrees to.

  • 05URGENT

    What if something kicks off — a raid, or someone stirring up trouble?

    If you ever see something blow up in real time — a raid, or someone causing trouble that just can't wait — don't open a ticket and sit on it. Tag a staff member directly in the nearest channel so whoever's around sees it straight away. A single line on what's going on is plenty; staff take it from there. Flagging fast always beats getting the wording perfect.

    What if you run into someone breaking the rules?

    If something's off but it isn't a live emergency — someone bending the rules, a message that crossed a line — open a ticket. It's a private, logged thread where you can explain what happened and share screenshots safely, and you can DM any staff member instead if you'd rather. It's handled discreetly, and you won't be named to anyone. The more context you give, the quicker it's sorted.
